Whatever you plan to do on your break, start the day with a relaxing breakfast, served in the conservatory looking out over our garden to the beautiful sea view. 

Our Award winning breakfasts are all freshly prepared and you can choose from a variety of tasty dishes made using local produce whenever possible.

Little Rannoch breakfast features home-made fruit compote, preserves and the Scone of the Day made to our Scottish family recipes.  We use  Rainforrest Alliance Tea and Fairtrade coffees. We have chosen to use the British Freedom Food designation for the meat products we serve.  This is RSPCA monitored for animal welfare standards. The  eggs we use are all free-range.

Breakfast Starters

  • Selection of cereals including crunchy oat granola - add mixed toasted seeds and nuts to your taste.
  • Fruit juices: Cranberry and Raspberry, Orange, Isle of Wight Apple, Mineral water
  • Grapefruit segments or prunes
  • Traditional porage - made to order
  • Greek-style yoghurt served with home-made orchard fruit compote

Teas: English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Lady Grey, Peppermint, Lemon and Ginger

Coffee: Freshly-ground, Fairtrade, Columbian blend

  • Toast or Croissant
  • Home--made preserves and marmelade
  • Honey and marmite available on request
  • Full-fat or semi-skimmed milk available
  • Butter or low-fat spread

Breakfast Mains

Cold gammon ham with cheese and sliced peaches

Cheese, dried fruits and nuts served with Scottish Oatcakes

Little Rannoch Savoury Croissant choose fillings from:

  • Ham, cheese and tomato
  • Scrambled eggs
  • Mushrooms and tomatoes

Traditional breakfast: choose from

  • Grilled back bacon
  • Grilled pork chipolata sausages
  • Vegetarian sausages
  • Free-range eggs - Fried, scrambled or poached

  • Spaghetti with home-made Bolognese sauce, served with a green salad and grated Parmesan cheese
  • Breaded plaice fillet with chips and garden peas
  • Pasta with pesto sauce and pine nuts served with mixed salads
  • Home-made chilli-con-carne, served with rice, soured cream and green salad
  • Home-made cottage pie with selected seasonal vegetables
  • Home-made chicken curry, served with rice, cucumber raita, mango chutney and puppodums
  • Mixed salads with one of the following
    • Warm chicken and crispy bacon
    • Gammon ham
    • Mature cheddar cheese
    • Egg mayonnaise
    • Smoked mackerel quiche

 

Desserts

  • Little Rannoch Crumble of the Day seved with double cream or ice cream
  • Vanilla ice cream with sticky chocolate sauce and home-made shortbread biscuits
  • Selected cheeses, served with Damson cheese, dried fruits and Scottish Oatcakes
